Support information for TPF/GI. For product questions, see the TPF/GI product FAQ.

How do I select labels and other non-editable items in TPF/GI block editor windows?

WITH THE MOUSE: Move the mouse cursor into the empty "gutter" or column to the left of the panel displacements. To select an entire line, click the left mouse button. To select multiple lines, press the left mouse button and drag up or down in the "gutter."

WITH THE KEYBOARD: Move the text cursor to the line where you want to start selecting. While holding down the Ctrl and Shift buttons, use the up or down arrow buttons to select entire lines.

Please spread the word about these little-known features. Thanks.

Is there a list of function names that will let me navigate around my program in Source View in TPF/GI?

You can get a list of file and function names in TPF/GI using the Linkmap feature. To read the help topic on this feature, open the TPF/GI help window and search for the word linkmap. From the list of topic titles that appear, double click the topic entitled Linkmap.

My LOC 3270 terminal window won't maximize very large. I have an 800x600 screen.

If you want an ALC or LOC window to maximize as large as possible, first drag the ALC or LOC window so that it overlaps the main application window (the window that sits at the top of the screen). Then click the maximize button on the ALC or LOC window.

If you do not first make the ALC or LOC window overlap the main application window, the ALC or LOC window will always maximize in the space below the main application window, forcing the ALC or LOC to be smaller than it could be.

Why does TPF/GI tell me .VBS is not properly registered for scripting?

If TPF/GI is installed on your PC, Windows scripting should also be installed.

Under Windows 98, if you installed TPF/GI without sufficient rights to modify the Windows registry or the Windows system directory, it is possible that TPF/GI installed correctly but the installation of Windows scripting silently failed. In this case, you can make sure have sufficient rights, then reinstall TPF/GI.

Under Windows XP, Windows Scripting Host is part of the OS installation, but it may have been disabled on your PC by an administrator. In this case, talk to a network administrator to find out how to get Windows scripting re-enabled on your PC.

You can download, unzip, and run the following test program to get more diagnostic information about the problem TPF/GI is having locating the necessary Windows registry keys for VBScript:
