Build 70117
Note: This is a beta build. More enhancements as well as fixes will be added. The following list does not include all bug fixes.
Build 70117: Thumbnail Feature for 3270 Message Capture and Run
Thumbnail images of 3270 screens can now be captured and displayed in Message Run. To preserve the thumbnail images, save message capture in the new .3270 file format.
Build 70117: Dot Notation in Watch Window
TPF/GI now allows dot notation in the Watch windows for C++ variables with reference types. This addresses issue 1147.
Build 70117: Aborting Scripts Is More Seamless
hen possible, TPF/GI now seamlessly aborts running scripts when TPF/GI is shut down or when a system is deactivated. However, windows that the running script has opened cannot be closed automatically by TPF/GI. When users request a system deactivation, if the script cannot be aborted users will be prompted to close any windows opened by the running script. Deactivation then proceeds automatically if possible. If a script can be aborted without user intervention, users are not prompted. A similar process now occurs when users request that TPF/GI shut down while a script is runnning. If the script cannot be aborted automatically, users will be prompted to close any windows opened by the script. However, the next time users request a shut down, TPF/GI will shut down even if the script cannot be aborted. This addresses issue 1268.
Build 70117: Radio Buttons in Script Dialog Boxes
In script dialog boxes, radio buttons now have the correct item selected when they appear first in the dialog box. This addresses issue 1290.
Build 70117: Script Buttons on Tool Bars
The Scripts button will now stay on the toolbar after users add it when customizing their toolbars. This addresses issues 1405 and 1515.
Build 70117: Lowercase in Trace Output Viewer Search
The trace output viewer now allows lowercase in the Containing field of the item filter. Search text that is all lower case matches both upper- and lowercase text. Search text that includes uppercase characters must have exactly the same case as the target text to match it. This addresses issue 1448.
Build 70117: In-Place Editing for Message Run Files
Message run input files can now be edited in place. (NOTE: This feature is most useful with non-mapped screens--i.e. not the 3270 terminals in many cases.) If a message run input file has been changed, users are prompted to save the file when the message run window is closed or when a new input file is about to be opened in the Message Run window. If the input file was opened from the host, it is saved back to the host. If the file was opened from the PC, it is saved back to the PC. Users must have write access to the host disk in order for the message run input file to be saved. This is most useful with message run files for ALC terminals. This addresses issue 1503.
Build 70117: T-REX Tree Printing
In T-REX, the tree consisting of the transaction, ECBs and programs can now be printed for any file in the tree view. To print the tree, right-click the file you want to print the tree for and select Print from the popup menu. This addresses issue 1370.
Build 70117: PF10 in ALC and LOC
The LOC and ALC terminals now receive the F10 key when they are focused. This addresses issue 1400.
Build 70117: Adding Script Buttons to Tool Bars
Previously, if the Folder Options in Windows were set to "Hide extensions for known types," users could not successfully create tool buttons for scripts. This problem has been fixed. This addresses issue 1355.
Build 70117: TPF Globals Updating
Formerly, the TPF Globals windows stopped updating themselves after a branch to cursor. This has been fixed. This addresses issue 1266.
Build 70117: Tracing TPFDF Macros
Users can now trace TPFDF macros without tracing Pool type macros. This addresses issue 1250.
Build 70117: Specifying which Overlay Panels are Cached
Previously, only a few $GL* and @EB* Overlay Panels were automatically cached to the user's TPF/GI interface. Customers may now specify additional panels to cache, such as AAA or level 10. The panel files may be kept in the host's 192 disk. The files are checked every time TPF/GI is brought up and any new Overlay Panels added to the list are cached to the user's interface and will automatically show up in their pulldown list without the pogrammer having to load them. This is implemented in the following way: A file on the host named $PANEL LIST is provided. The names of overlay panels can be added to this file to be updated every time systems are activated. This addresses issue 1025.
Build 70117: Creeping ECB Windows
The presence of the Microsoft Office toolbar formerly caused the ECB windows to appear higher and higher on the screen each time they were opened. This has been fixed. This addresses issue 968.
Build 70117: Large XML Output
TPF/GI now handles large XML output from the host without error. This addresses issues 1018 and 1161.
