GI/TERM allows multiple system connections
through a simple, powerful interface. The main
window of the application displays a list of the available
TPF systems. To open the terminals associated with a system,
simply double click the system name.
Activated hosts have a highlighted and "plugged-in"
appearance on the GI/TERM main window.
Once terminals have been activated, the main window can be
used to connect to other systems or shut down existing connections.
Customizable and Modern
The GI/TERM terminal windows
provide all the convenience of a modern user interface: a
graphical display with customizable colors, convenient tool
buttons and menus, and copying and pasting, among other features.
In addition, the terminals provide record, playback, and log
abilities. The record, playback, and log window can either
be "docked" (attached) to the bottom of the terminal
window, or it can "float" separately, according
to the user's preferences; the window can easily be detached
and reattached using drag and drop. It can also be hidden
until it is required.
